As our Feedmill Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational excellence of our modern state of the art facility. You will manage production, engineering, safety and planning and will lead continuous improvement in line with the Ingham’s strategic plan.

Daily Task:
• Coach a skilled team to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements relating to people safety, product safety and quality
• Inspire others with a compelling safety vision and demonstrate your commitment to reduce risks by motivating and encouraging your team
• Line performance KPI’s - LTIFR/TRIFR (production), Quality, Downtime (planed /unplanned), defines team targets, monitors performance and resolves issues ensuring compliance with Ingham’s Minimum Standard Procedures
• Develop and lead a continuous improvement culture which enables your team to improve performance and efficiency
• Ensures the plant and equipment at the Feedmill are maintained in good condition at all times, create a reliability culture within maintenance to reduce downtime of production
• Gain a deep understanding of customer requirements and ensure customer expectations are exceed
• Ensures all farms are adequately supplied with feed supplies at all times
• Represents the company in contacts with Industry, Government and Institutions
• Ensures the Company complies with Commonwealth, State or Local Government Acts, Regulations and By-Laws
• Ensures process controls and HACCP principles are operating to standard
• Ensure environment controls are operating to standard
• High safety culture
• Manage, monitor, and achieve set KPI’s and budgets
You will bring to this role:
• A high level of leadership with effective communication skills
• Ability to analyse large volumes of data and turning into purposeful insights for your team
• Experience of successfully managing a complex feed mill plant producing pelletized feeds
• Excellent working knowledge of complex process controls environment, including pelleting, liquid coating.
• Proven track record of achieving departmental business plans and productivity agendas
• Implemented and promoted continuous improvement initiatives, familiar with a culture of 5S, TPM, LEAN/Six Sigma
• Knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated understanding of business systems that involve costing and planning
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders internal and external to the organisation
• Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback. Implementing cultural change through leadership, engagement and coaching
